How to sign up for Leadership Program Opportunities

  1. Select the Event:
    1. The program descriptions help you and your girls choose an event. Be sure to note the grade level for the event.
  2. Register for Event:
    1. Follow the instructions on how to register for each event. For council sponsored events, use the Girl Leadership Activity Registration form in the forms section of this resource or the on-line registration form. Please fill out the form completely.  You will receive a confirmation letter with details about the program. This letter will be e-mailed to you unless otherwise requested.  Registration is on a first-come first-served basis.
    2. For Service Unit or Community sponsored events, send form and payment to contact listed.  On line registration is NOT available for Service Unit sponsored events.
  3. Submit Payment:
    1. Send activity registration form and fee to your local service center unless otherwise indicated. Include a separate payment and registration form for each activity. If registration is made on-line, payment must be made by credit card/pay pal at the time the online registration is submitted.
  4. Refunds:
    1. Refunds are given if the program fills before your registration is received or if a program is canceled.
  5. Weather Cancelations:
    1. If GSNI-M decides to cancel, we will post an update on the council events information line. Staff will call the adult contact name listed on the registration form. A council cancelation will be made at a minimum of 2 hours prior to the event.
  6. Attend the Event:
    1. Girls must be accompanied by an adult at events, unless otherwise noted (ie: supervision by event staff).  Tagalongs (children of any age who are not participants in a program) should not be taken to events.  Any girls participating in a Girl Scout activity must be a registered member of Girl Scouts of the USA, unless otherwise noted, such as family or friend events.

 
More Information for events:

  • Events often fill up before the registration deadline. It’s best to register early to guarantee your place.
  • Registrations for council sponsored events can be mailed, faxed, or submitted online and payments must be included. When submitting a registration online or by fax, the payment must be included by using a credit card.
  • Registrations will be placed on a waiting list if the event fills up before the deadline.
  • Events that do not meet the minimum number of participants may be canceled.
  • The opportunities listed are intended for Girl Scouts only, unless otherwise noted. Non-Girl Scouts wishing to attend may complete a Girl Scout Membership form and submit the $12 membership dues fee along with the activity registration form.
  • Please call the contact person listed in your confirmation packet if you will not be able to attend an activity.  A cancelation does not equal a refund; however, there may be girls on a waiting list.

  • Troops must bring their own first-aider to events.
  • Safety-Wise standards must be followed when attending activities. Please follow the GIRL-TO-ADULT ratio found in the Volunteer Essentials when attending events or workshops, unless otherwise noted (girl supervision is provided by: event staff).
