Martin’s School of Cooking is excited to offer a unique cooking experience for your Girl Scout troop. The cost of each class includes a patch for each girl. All date requests are subject to chef availability.

Cook the Books!
An option for your Daisy Troop, your girls will enjoy a “mini” cooking class of sorts.  Girls will read one of their favorite books, and then help prepare a snack to coincide with their storytelling.  Book choices include Amelia Bedelia, Pinkalicous and Eloise in Paris

  • Minimum of 10 attendees, maximum of 20
  • Class time: 1 hour
  • $12 per student (includes “Cooking is Fun” fun patch)

Snack Attack
This class is especially for Brownies, designed to give them a hands-on experience learning about many different kinds of snacks.  From sweet, to savory, healthy to dessert, your troupe will make and taste their way through our state of the art kitchen classroom. They’ll create Freckle Face Bears, Sweet Sushi, Energy Bars, Veggie Sculptures, and even compete in a smoothie making contest!

  • Minimum of 10 attendees, maximum of 20.
  • Class time: 1 ½ - 2 hours
  • $15 per student

Simple Meals
Designed with your Girl Scout Juniors in mind, this experience will give your girls a hands-on experience creating a number of meal options, with practical applications for home or school.  They’ll work together to prepare Cheese Calzones with Homemade Marinara, Very Berry Cream Cheese Danishes, and Tex-Mex Pinwheels. 

  • Class size is limited to 20 students, minimum is 8.
  • Class time: 1 ½ - 2 hours
  • $20 per student

New Cuisines
Looking to expand your horizons?  Get your Cadette troop together and join us in the kitchen for a culinary voyage!  Your girls will get their hands dirty making Navajo Fry Bread, Shrimp & Cream Cheese Wontons, Texas King Ranch Casserole, and Vanilla Bean Shortbread.  This is the most traveling you can do without a passport or a time machine!

  • Class size is limited to 15 students, minimum is 8.
  • Class time: 2 hours
  • $25 per student

Interested in local cuisines?  Your Girl Scout Seniors will divide into groups to create a delicious meal prepared with local ingredients.  Your menu will feature Cider Braised Chicken, Roasted Corn with Farmer’s Cheese & Lime, Butternut Squash Apple Cranberry Bake, Late Summer Vegetable Soup, and Apple Strawberry Basil Hand Pies.  Note: Due to the temperate climate of our area, not all ingredients will be local, and will vary based on product availability.

  • $25 per student
