What does your daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin or sister learn from Girl Scouts?  She learns to believe in her own abilities, to try new things she never could have before, to make new friends, to have compassion for another person, all while having fun.  From leadership to friendship, Girl Scouting makes it happen.

GSNI-M spends $336 to provide one year of Girl Scouting for each of the 11,950  girls in our council, but the proceeds from the Cookie and Fall Product Sale programs fall far short of that amount.  While the annual membership fee is only $12, and goes directly to our national council GSUSA, there are many girls in need of assistance in order to experience Girl Scouting.  That is why we turn to you, the Girl Scout family.  Your Family Partnership contributions help make the Girl Scouting experience complete for your daughter and her friends.

An investment in the Family Partnership funds:

  • Training  safety conscious, ethical leaders
  • Maintaining camp properties
  • Providing low-cost camping activities and events for girls
  • Providing scholarships for membership fees, camp, activities and events
  • Providing volunteer opportunities for adults

Fund Development

It’s important to say that a large percentage of our Girl Scout families support us financially.  This is crucial to our efforts to leverage additional support from those corporations and foundations providing financial aid to so many Girl Scouts.

Gifts can be made through our secure online site, or by printing the Family Partnership form and mailing it to Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana, Attn: Fund Development, 10008 Dupont Circle Dr. E., Fort Wayne, IN 46825-1630.  Be sure to check with your company about matching gifts.
